Laundry refers to the washing, drying and/or folding of your clothing items and other textiles. Depending on your living situation, access to laundry machines, drive to your nearest dry cleaners, or financial status, the laundry process can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours each week.

Fold Clothes Immediately: As soon as your clothes are dry, fold them right away to prevent wrinkles from forming. Leaving them in the dryer or on a hanger can also cause creases to form. Store Folded Clothes Properly: After folding your clothes, store them in drawers or on shelves.

Most commonly, it is used when referring to a laundry service, as opposed to washing your clothes on your own. However, technically, the two processes are the same – wash laundry in a washing machine, dry laundry in a dryer, and fold laundry to put back in your dresser.

Once your clothes are out of the dryer and smelling fresh, the last thing you want to do is sort through them and fold them neatly. For an average load of laundry, it takes a person about 20 minutes to fold clothes. This may differ based on load size and how fast you are at folding.
